WHO WE ARE:
SPEAAK, Inc. is a five year grass
roots parental Involvement program
which targets African American
parents, children and families
based in Seaford, Delaware.
The
mission of SPEAAK is to empower
African American families and
communities by linking information,
connecting resources, raising the
level of significance of parental
involvement by creating opportunities for parental involvement in
schools and in the community.
Current membership has grown
from ten families to approximately
one hundred families.
OUR GOALS:
The fundamental goals of SPEAAK are to assist families, parents, and children by:
• Developing educational, social,
and emotional programming,
activities, and events.
• Connecting to existing educational and community resources.
• Sharing educational and
community involvement skills
and strategies
• Collaborating with educators,
businesses, employers, and
community leaders
• Sharing information, resources
and opportunities for parental
involvement.
